The branch was closed, forcing patrons to use the main post office in Wayne.
After months of pressure and negotation, a location was found on Lancaster Avenue,
which, while not as convenient as the old office, gave us back our cozy atmosphere and
prized postal clerks (Lee and Pat).
As to whether we'll be able to keep this location, it remains to be seen.
Save the Radnor-St. Davids Post Office
With its roots in the 19th century,
this Main Line treasure may soon disappear forever.
I have had a box at the Radnor Post Office since 1977,
and like many other long-time area residents, I find it a
charming and irreplaceable part of our history and community life.
If you know of appropriate and available rental space
in St. Davids (near the Radnor Hotel or Genuardi's shopping center)
