A new friend shows up at the barn

When I first noticed this cute and docile female garter snake in the garden,
she was obviously pregnant. A week or so later, just before Memorial Day weekend,
I saw her again -- with no bulge -- and was able to pick her up.
A little nervous initially, she soon settled down, and for the next several days,
allowed me to retrieve her for some quiet one-on-one communing.
Experience tells me my time with her is finite. I'll be sorry to see her go.
