Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale (1968)

Once again we were fortunate enough to join my parents
at the Lauderdale Beach Hotel for at least part of their annual March getaway.
I have no idea why I don't appear in any of the photos. Selfies weren't a thing then.

And then it was time for us to come home on the famous Northeast Airlines Yellow Bird.
Four years later, Northeast merged with Delta, removing these colorful planes from the skies forever.

Now on their own, my parents visited Ed and Louise Tindall, dear friends
from Westfield, NJ, who had recently bought a vacation home in Boca Raton.
Ed retired in 1972 after 49 years at American Sugar, at which point
they set up permanent residence in Boca. He died in June 2001 at age 94.
Of all Dad's many friends, Ed was real favorite of mine.
He had a great sense of humor, a kind nature, and a generous heart.
I've included his obituary below.

From the Westfield Leader, June 21, 2001
