Spring Break at the Lauderdale Beach Hotel  (1974)

For many years, my parents invited my brother and me (and our families)
to spend time with them in Fort Lauderdale around the Easter holiday.
Originally, as in the case here, they stayed at the Lauderdale Beach Hotel,
but in 1975, when the hotel was sold, they transferred the flag
to the Lago Mar Club, a gorgeous private enclave just south of LBH.

In the late 1960s, we all went together, but as the years went by,
they preferred to have our families stay with them at different times.




















And then, in 1975, with new owners (and different clientele)
at the Lauderdale Beach Hotel, my parents made the shift
to Lago Mar, a lovely beach club just north of the deep water
inlet to Lake Mabel and Port Everglades. We never looked back.
