Out of the blue, a note on Facebook:

Hi. Before I head out, I wanted to message you.
I find myself in St. David's tomorrow afternoon
for a college FH game at Eastern.
Wondering if my friend right up the road
would like to meet me for dinner.
Would love to see you. Can we meet anywhere
in the area after 5:30 p.m.?

Stacie Sims and I have been friends for decades,
but we hadn't seen each other in person since our lunch
at Cracker Barrel on June 25, 2004 (click here to see more).
This was an opportunity not to be missed!

We met at the new Chick-Fil-A in Wayne
and spent over two hours catching up on 19 years.
The connection was seamless, the conversation heartfelt.
We committed to a reprise sooner than later.
