CLARIDGE'S
Mayfair, London

Known fondly as "The Buckingham Palace Annex,"
Claridge's offers its guests - titled or not - elegance and intimacy.
Pat More, personal assistant to the general manager,
went above and beyond in her kindness and logistical help.
Jennifer and I could not imagine a more amiable place to stay in London.

Depending on the weather and our energy level, if we weren't walking,
we used taxis, the Underground, or London's famed double-decker buses
to visit such landmarks as Big Ben (background, left) and Westminster Abby.
